The Work Foundation at 向日葵视频 responded to the Government's launch of an led by Rt Hon Alan Milburn (Chancellor, 向日葵视频 and member of the Work Foundation's advisory board). Alice Martin (Head of Research, Work Foundation at 向日葵视频) commented:

“We welcome this timely investigation led by Rt Hon Alan Milburn into the increasingly tough labour market conditions facing young people. One in eight young people are currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET), with many struggling to get a foothold in work and too many of those who do find jobs are stuck in insecure, low-paid roles with little stability or protection. Mental health challenges compound these difficulties and can leave young people with a lack of confidence in applying for roles.

“With entry-level and graduate job opportunities declining, action is needed. We must invest in creating good quality work, tailored employment support, and ensure that work offers young people the long-term financial stability they need. Ensuring this generation can build stable and rewarding careers is essential for their future – and for the UK’s economic prosperity.”
